Job Overview

The primary task of the assignment will entail an assessment of closed and evaluated projects between 2012 – 2022 in ADB’s WUS investment portfolio for India. Factors determining the success or failure of project sustainability, across different sub-sectors and lending modalities, will be identified from project completion report validation reports (PVRs) and project performance evaluation reports (PPERs). The relative importance of various dimensions of project sustainability, including financial, institutional, environmental and social aspects, will be identified through the assessment of PVRs and PPERs. A secondary task will be to review efforts by other development partners to address project sustainability in urban and water sector investments in India. Other secondary evaluation reports may be used to explain the findings.
