See a day in the life in Belo Medical Group as a Human Capital Management Intern!

8.00 AM

I started the day at 8’o clock in the morning. When I arrived at the office, I checked on what would be my main tasks for the day. Upon checking, attending online interviews and some minor tasks on Recruit+ were on my to do list for the day.

8.20 AM

After settling in, I went to Ms. Monica, one of my supervisors to ask if I could attend an online interview already as part of my tasks for internship. Fortunately, she had a schedule by 8:30 am for an initial interview of Front Desk Receptionist applicant.

Before the interview commenced, I photocopied the Curriculum Vitae of the applicant that was scheduled for interview for my own reference and was also able to briefly review the indicated details on it. Ms. Monica also gave me a copy of her flow of guide questions that she utilizes for interviews.

My first time attending an online interview proceeded as planned. As Ms. Monica interviewed the applicant, I took notes and observed at the site as she was asking questions to the applicant with the aid of the list of flow of questions she utilizes. When the initial interview process was done, Ms. Monica and I discussed about the observations and comments I could give towards the applicant. The process of conducting an initial interview were also further discussed between the two of us. Eventually, we both decided to give our verdict for the applicant before officially ending my first attendance to an online interview.

I logged in back to Recruit+ to go find the names of the applicants that were pooled, whose course and experiences finished do not align with the position they have applied for.

12.00 PM

After taking a lunch break, I had my second attendance to an online interview to an online interview for the day. The applicant aimed for the same position as the previous interviewee of the day. The difference is that this interviewee came from the South (Davao) while the first interviewee came from the North (Laguna). The interview proceeded as normally and usually, however, after the interview ended, the discussion that took place between myself and Ms, Monica focused a bit on the differences between this interview and the preceding one, such as the duration of this interview then the first one. Observations, comments, and verdict to give towards the applicant were discussed as well after. From these interviews, I realized that Initial Interviews could give you a lot of insight towards an applicant on how they are as a person and how fitting they are on the position they are applying in; how there’s no one-size-fits-all way of interviewing as the gist of every interview would depend on the interviewee, as everyone comes from different background and upbringing at the end of the day. The interviews kickstarted and opened my view on workplace interview facilitation and somehow contributed to more interest to pursue a job in the industrial setting.

3.30 PM

With two attendance to online interviews at hand, I went back into Recruit+ and started to now take note of the applicants who were pooled which could be moved to another Belo Branch job opening that are much more proximate to their location (as these noted applicants are situated far from the location where they applied for). After taking note of these applicants’ name, those who live within or near Taguig area and Alabang area were forwarded by myself to Ms. Monica so that they would be moved to branches with an opening near to them.

4.30 PM

As the day comes to an end for me, before timing out, I assisted briefly our Admin Specialist Ms. Kaye into moving some things back to their original designated place utilized throughout the day at the office and briefly hanged around. After this, I officially timed out for the day.
