DB Schenker opens its doors for interns to help their Air Operations team in coordinating and monitoring air shipments.
As an Intern you will have the following responsibilities:
Assisting in processing agents' permit purchases for shipments
Creating shipments in the system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations
Supporting the team in clearing shipments through agents
Executing House Air Waybills (HAWBs) accurately and efficiently
Updating shipment events in the system to provide real-time tracking information
Coordinating parcel services, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction
Assisting in invoicing processes, verifying charges and ensuring accuracy
Handing over shipments to agents and carriers, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete
Handling domestic shipments, coordinating with local carriers and agents
Managing Proof of Delivery (POD) documents, ensuring they are recorded appropriately
About you
To apply you must have the following qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a college program, preferably in Freight Forwarding Management, Logistics, Customs Administration or a related field
Communicates effectively (verbal and written)
High attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Can prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Good coordination skills and task/process oriented
Confident in Speaking with Foreign Counterparts.
Engages the team and others in the organization
Contributes to Process Improvement
