The Department of Education (DepEd) formulates, implements, and coordinates policies, plans, programs, and projects in the areas of formal and non-formal basic education. It supervises all elementary and secondary education institutions, including alternative learning systems, both public and private; and provides for the establishment and maintenance of a complete, adequate, and integrated system of basic education relevant to the goals of national development.
The Department of Education (DepEd) is jubilant about the timely issuance of Executive Order No. 174 titled Establishing the Expanded Career Progression System for Public School Teachers.
The EO officially create new position titles namely Teacher IV, Teacher V, Teacher VI, Teacher VII, and Master Teacher V, and promote professional development and career advancement among public school teachers.
The work schedule is another factor for striking a good balance between a person’s work and personal life. Government employees usually work from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
