Define clear part design requirements considering constraints from technical, cost, and regulatory.
Plan deliverables, monitor their progress, and respond to escalations proactively.
Generate a range of design solutions from Bill of Materials, 3D models, CAD Drawings, and technical specifications.
Identify potential risks on design solutions with wide consideration of design for x (assembly, manufacturing, tolerance stack, DFMEA).
Support and collaborate with cross-team on engineering build activities from prototyping, tool trials, and assembly on the contract manufacturers.
Design and conduct investigative tests to identify design risks and design limits.
Collaborate with the testing team to evaluate product functionality, reliability, usability, and overall user satisfaction.
Investigate identified problems to uncover underlying causes and recommend appropriate actions to resolve problems and prevent recurrence.
Prepare for design and technical reviews on design problems to support engineering changes and milestone reviews.
Contribute to team, department, or functional level change projects as needed, supporting efforts to enhance organizational efficiency or develop new capabilities.
About you
Graduating by August 2024.
Working towards or achieving a relevant Engineering Discipline Degree.
Sound understanding of basic mechanical / product design principles and development of products and technologies through prototyping and testing.
Basic knowledge and understanding of multiple tooling and manufacturing techniques.
Able to evidence how you applied your technical knowledge to solve problems, either through your internship, university projects or as part of your extra co-curricular activities.
