Your role
As a Credit Underwriter, you will play a critical role in evaluating creditworthiness and assessing the risk profile of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) applying for loans.

As a Credit Underwriter, you have the following responsibilities:
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of SME loan applicants by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information.
- Assess the risk profiles of applicants, identifying potential risks and mitigating factors.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence on borrowers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and develop a comprehensive understanding of borrowers' businesses and financial positions.
- Prepare credit assessments and recommendations for loan approvals or declines, based on sound judgment and adherence to credit policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of loan applications and credit decisions.
- Continuously monitor and review the credit quality of existing borrowers.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of credit underwriting processes and systems.
About you
To apply, you must have the following qualifications/requirements:
- Essential: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and assess creditworthiness.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Desire to learn and develop a career in credit underwriting and risk assessment.
- Open to fresh graduates in 2024.
