Position Summary:

Responsible for reviewing proposed hospitalization, home care, and inpatient/outpatient treatment plans for medical necessity and efficiency in accordance with client's-specific contract rules and guidelines and with company's policies, practices and procedures to facilitate quality and cost effective care for the injured employee.

Role & Responsibility/ies:

A United States Registered Nurse (USRN) may be tasked to do any of the following:

• Workers Compensation Review
• Utilization Review
• Medical Review/Medical Nurse Review
• Clinical Review
• Nurse Review
• Coding
• Health Coach
• Program Review
• Intake Nurse
• Medical Coordinator
• Clinical Data/Clinical Case Management
• Physician Review Service
• Quality and Training
• Program Management
• May provide guidance and coaching to other USRNs and participate in the orientation of newly hired
• USRNs
• Performs other duties as assigned

Essential Knowledge and Skills Required:

Use of PC and widely-used software packages, especially Microsoft Office handling of spreadsheets
and word processing
Type minimum of 33 wpm with excellent accuracy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to be detail-oriented and able to work independently
Ability to multi-task

Required Education, Training & Experience:

• Minimum Education: BSN
• Licensure/Certification: Current PRC & Current US Licenses
• Years of Experience: Minimum two (2) years
• Type of Experience: Clinical Practice
• Preferred additional Skills, Training & Knowledge: Managed Care and/or Utilization Review
