Job Satisfaction at ING Hubs Philippines

My role as a graduate engineer gives me a wide range of things to do in my day-to-day. I have tasks for delivery where I am able to use my coding skills and critical thinking, and I can also choose to do initiative work where I can hone leadership, and creative thinking. My day-to-day varies, there are days that I only do delivery work or initiative work, and some days I can do a little bit of both. I also find it important to note that despite having a wide range of things to do on the daily, I do not work beyond office hours. I just find being able to choose to do different things more stimulating and fitting for my work ethic.

Since I'm a fresh graduate, I don't know much about Pega. As days and months passes, I learn more and apply some logic which I can use during my college days. I manage to finish my task or story in most of the time.

My day-to-day responsibilities are manageable. The people that I work with ensure that I can handle and manage all the tasks that they have assigned to me.

My role is a Graduate Trainee for FC&FP in Retail Belgium. Currently, I am with FATCA-CRS Data Gathering team. While performing my duties with FATCA-CRS, I also do my duties as part of the CDD Analyst Team while also managing a project for process improvement.

Data Analyst I help in preparing and analysing data related to KYC or CDD operations. I am also involved in preparing multiple reports that we present to relevant retail countries and global management.

I work as a graduate engineer. Other than coding work in the team that I'm deployed at, I also help manage batches of interns as a facilitator and I also get to work on initiatives to help build engineering communities.

Gathering and analyzing customer information to assess acceptability as clients.

I just recently got onboarded within my chapter after two months of training and my seniors are all considerate and taking their time to teach us about what they are working on.

Business Analyst. Help in understanding business requirements and providing the best solutions.

For my roles and responsibilities, as a newly trained developer. The tasks assigned to me are aligned to my current capabilities. There are no hard tasks, and my colleagues made sure that I understood all the topics discussed in the meeting and have been by my side to guide me and teach me.

Processing trade transactions of our clients.

My role is to conduct further research about our clients before we allow them to open an account with ING.

As an engineer, I am deployed to a team to contribute in every-day tasks of the team that is handling a feature within the company. As a graduate engineer, we endorse initiatives that improve the engineering culture within our department.

I am a new hire here as a Pega Resident Engineer. It has been fun learning a new platform of coding and testing new features that are introduced to me by my squad.

As a Pega Resident Engineer, I am primarily involved in developing and building Pega applications according to business needs in my designated chapter. What I like about ING Hubs Philippines is that they want to drive digital banking globally, through a seamless customer banking experience. Currently, I am in my onboarding phase for my assigned squad - I am thankful for ING in giving me the best training as possible transitioning into my role. On the big picture, I work alongside an agile team on a daily basis and together we make sure that customers can do their thING.

I do KYC/Customer Due Diligence among the banks' clients. We prevent financial crime and fraud among our clients such as money laundering. We review our clients' business activities, ownership structure, beneficial owners, to see that their reason for having an account with the bank is aligned with what they do. Files often take time to complete due to things beyond our control. Because we have certain KPIs to hit in a month, which is higher than the regular employee, we don't hit our targets.

My work has substance and, in some way, impacts the business

In the perspective as a trainee: partake in the BAU tasks a regular employee would have but have the benefit of focused and enhanced guidance by your seniors and co-workers.

The people I communicate daily (recruitment admin staff and hiring managers) are easily approachable (even though in an online set-up). They are also very understanding and responsible.
